Well, I'm not objective.... both Robert Redford and Jane Fonda were the movies' heroes at my younger age.... so watching them again in the Movie "Our Souls at Night" was a mixture of great expectations with real worry not to be disappointed. Well, overall, I enjoyed the movie: a small, quite, "classic" romantic gerontological movie, with all the key ingredients of our field. The film opens with Jane Fonda, an aging widower, coming to Redford (an aging widower himself) and asking him "would you be interested in coming to my house to sleep with me?"..... you can already figure how this can develop..... While not an Oscar winning movie - it is a joyful watch + a great gerontological movie + especially for those who love Fonda and Redford.
